About

Hawk Eye Karate Academy was founded in 2009.

Affiliations:
Funakoshi - Shotokan Karate Association Premier Martial Arts South Africa South Africa Ryukyu Martial Arts Federation

We are all about:
Karate, Martial Arts, Self Defense, Fitness, Coordination, Confidence and Courage.

Chief Instructor: Sensei Deon de Jong started training Shukokai Karate in 1989.
1999 reverted to Shotokan Karate, and I am still training and teaching the Shotokan style to date at 5th Dan.
Karate was measured in teaching in a totally different way 20 years ago versus nowadays as it is being taught.
I strive in teaching Karate in more traditional as to sport. Meaning that.
Karate is passion, skill, focus, endeavor, and all the factors that you need to learn and more, make our students understand, give more, and expect better on how the students create their own path.
However, competing and judging from a Provincial, National to World Events, will always just be a stepping stone,
just to give back what Karate has given me!!
Our titles never define us as instructors, but share our knowledge to keep all legacies growing and live in the future.
Character, Sincerity, Effort, Etiquette, Self-control That is why and what made Hawkeye Karate Academy and the motivation to carry on and give back to the passion we have for the art and my fellow instructor who supports the same ideal.
Oss, Karate will always be a way of life!!!
